Future directions

We have tried to keep the SNPMaP data structures straightforward to facilitate development of analysis methods. Current plans include:

• Support for additional Affymetrix arrays, such as the 100K set
• Pre-packaged analysis methods to work with SNPMaP objects
• A 'Developers' section for the Web site

In the longer term we hope to be able to extend the package to handle Illumina as well as Affymetrix arrays.
